About Our Practice

Our comprehensive dental care practice – located in Kingsport,TN – concentrates on family and cosmetic dentistry.  Our dental team members are extremely experienced and knowledgeable about dental health and all dental procedures such as porcelain veneers, dental implants, teeth whitening, and permanent crowns and bridges. We are happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Here at Colonial Heights Dental Associates we strive to provide the very best in technique and materials. Our practice has been amalgam-free “no silver fillings” since 1993.

Meet the Doctor - Bartley L. Ford, D.D.S., F.A.G.D.

Dr. Ford is a native of East Tennessee.  A graduate of Daniel Boone High School, he received a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University in 1981 and a doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Center of Health Sciences in 1985.

Dr. Ford has postgraduate training from Baylor College of Dentistry completing the Aesthetic Restorative Continuum. He also received a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Ford is married with three children.  He enjoys all sports, music and riding his Harley.

Meet the Staff

		Tabitha Curtis Tabitha, our office manager, attended Northern Virginia Community College and has worked in the dental field for eleven years. She is married with two sons and two daughters.
		Carol Durham - R.D.A. Carol, a chairside assistant, is a graduate of East Tennessee State University's dental assisting program and has been assisting for twenty years. She has been married for twenty years and has two daughters.
		Dorma J. Ford - R.D.H. Dorma, a dental hygienist, graduated in 1983 from East Tennessee State University's dental hygiene school and has twenty-three years experience. She also completed the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene requirements in 2003 from E.T.S.U. She is married with three children.
		Traci Pate - R.D.H. Traci, a dental hygienist, has been in the dental field for twenty-two years. With seven years experience as a dental assistant, she then graduated in 1992 from East Tennessee State University’s dental hygiene school. She has been married twenty years and has two children.
		Jan Rhoton - R.D.A. Jan, a chairside assistant, graduated from the Kingsport Adult Education’s dental assisting program fourteen years ago. She lives in Virginia with her husband of twenty-five years and two sons.
